The Market Card works like a physical debit card at our Farm Store or Farmer's Market stall. Pay in advance and we'll add on a 5% bonus value to your card ($105 on a $100 purchase, $210 on a $200 purchase etc).
Why buy a Market Card? Think of it like Community Supported Agriculture - but more like Community Supported Lending. Spring is the most expensive time for our farm business - it's when we are purchasing soil, seeds, supplies, equipment, inventory for the Farm Store, and paying our excellent farm crew to get the season started. We created the Market Card program as a way to manage our cash flow without relying on loans, lines of credit, or other lending sources that come with steep fees. Instead, we reward our loyal customers who invest in our farm with additional value - at a return rate that you won't get at a bank!
The Market Card can be used to buy any of the lovely local products we have available at our Farm Store or at the Iowa City Farmer's Market - including plant starts, flower bouquets, fresh organic produce, pasture-raised meats, eggs, herbal teas, honey, prepared foods...and beyond!

Order a Market Card online and we'll hold it for you to pick up when you visit our Farm Store (opening April 18th). You can choose to take it with you, or we can keep it on file so you don't have to carry it around. If you'd like us to ship it to you instead, just let us know.
