Angelica root (Angelica archangelica) is one of my personal favorite herbal tastes. It has a warm, slightly sweet, yet pungent flavor. Angelica root encourages healthy circulation, acts as a lung expectorant and decongestant, is a great digestive aid, and helps reduce menstrual cramping. It is often used in candies and liqueurs for flavoring. Craft your own herbal remedies with our fresh harvested Angelica root, grown on our Certified Naturally Grown farm.
To make a tincture - finely chop or blend 1 parts fresh root with 2 parts alcohol (preferably 75% ABV such as Everclear 151). Cover & keep in a dark, cool place for one month, shaking often. Strain and decant. 1/2 lb of fresh Angelica root will make approximately 16 oz of tincture.
