Pre-Orders for Plant Starts Are Now Open!
We're excited to offer a wide variety of unique herbs, flowers, and native plants for you to plant out and grow in your own home garden and landscape.
Pre-ordered plant starts will be available for local pick-up at two locations in early May. You must pick up your plant starts on one of these three dates:
Sunday, May 7th 10am - 4pm at the Newbo City Market, Cedar Rapids

IMPORTANT! After you have added your plants to your cart and before checkout, let us know at which market you will pick up your plant starts in the "Notes" section.
You will receive a reminder email with additional details about picking up your plant starts approximately one week before your pick-up date.
We will have additional plant starts available for purchase when you come to pick up your pre-ordered starts.
Already placed an order and decided you'd like more plants? No problem! We will consolidate multiple orders and have all of your starts ready for you at pick up.
If you would like to purchase plant starts and apothecary products, please make separate transactions on our online store. Apothecary orders of $80 or more ship for free!
Prefer to shop for plant starts in person?
We will be attending the Indian Creek Nature Center Spring Plant & Art Sale on Saturday, May 6th from 9am - 12pm. Pre-ordered plant starts will not be available at this event. You are of course welcome to shop our plant starts at this event but we will not be fulfilling pre-ordered starts there.
Any remaining plants will be brought to the 5/13 and 5/20 Iowa City Farmers Market & the 5/27 Cedar Rapids Downtown Market on Saturday mornings. Some varieties may sell out before these markets, so pre-ordering is the best way to ensure that you'll receive the varieties you'd like. Click here to view our in-person market schedule.
Our plant starts are Certified Naturally Grown and 100% chemical-free. We use organic and non-GMO seeds, organic potting mix, and OMRI-approved natural fertilizers (never synthetics!) to grow healthy and vigorous seedlings.
Most plants will come in a 3" square pot. Flowers and select herbs (cilantro, dill, & chamomile) are potted in 4-packs.
